Our Top 3 Wedding Trends of 2015

Throughout the year of 2015, we have seen many different wedding trends. Some have passed on to the graveyard while others have caught fire throughout the planning of the ceremony, taking weddings by storm and increasing in popularity as the year carried onward. Most of these further exemplify the sense of the unique style that these weddings aim to capture. Here are a few of our favorite wedding trends that have picked up in pace over the past year.

The Look and Feel
Many couples are set on infusing their ceremony and reception with as much of their personality and interests as possible. These are largely reflected in the details of the decorations that adorn their chosen wedding venue. From floral decorations that have very unique touches to them that personalize them to centerpieces that include bits and pieces of the couples’ lives, the look and feel of the wedding has consistently told the story of the couple and their similar interests.

Quadcopter (Drone) Aerial Coverage
Within the past year, the use of quadcopters to capture beautiful, vast, aerial views of the wedding venue has been on a steady rise. This is becoming a staple in wedding videography, and it would be wise to pick up on and consider this trend as we enter into 2016. Fortunately, Whole Heart Studios has already been delving into the use of the video from the sky to enhance the production value of our wedding films, and we will continue to do so into the new year. The aerial coverage we provide adds yet another perspective that no one is able to view the day of your wedding, but one that remains in your mind long after you watch your highlight film.

Food Installations
Food has always been an important part of any wedding, but over this last year, the way in which food is displayed has become a whole new ball game.  Hanging salad bars and kabob stations, beer gardens, and dessert walls with an assortment of goodies are just part of some of the food arrangements you can expect to see at a variety of weddings.  If you have an interest in portraying your choice of foods in a way that will not soon be forgotten, your caterer will certainly have ideas to help aid in this process.

While these are just a few of our favorite trends that have picked up in 2015, there are many more.  While you might search online for ideas, experiencing these firsthand at a wedding will help give you the true feeling that they are meant to emanate.  The year of 2016 is just around the corner, and we are excited to continue seeing new trends with each wedding we capture in the coming year.
