The Blue Ridge Mountains hold a special place to Kevin & Noelle and their relationship. These two love birds met at Virginia Tech which is a beautiful university nestled in these very mountains where they said their vows and sealed them with a kiss this past October!
Although COVID impacted their day (along with many other 2020 couples) they still made the most of their situation by celebrating + honoring their original wedding date of Oct 3rd with their closest family members and select friends. Take it from me - there was absolutely no shortage of happy tears, laughs, love - most importantly… many memories were made.
Noelle’s family has a gorgeous lake house at Smith Mountain Lake (this is even where Kevin proposed to her!) and since I live locally I captured her gorgeous details in their living room prior to the day of the elopement to ease some stress & save some time! Noelle chose faux florals and I looooove them. This is also such a good idea because she can use them again next year AND save them as a keepsake & memory from their wedding day.
Noelle had the best girl gang - her sisters & bestie! These ladies were so fun to hang with.
Kevin had some fellows hanging with him as well - but we just had to show off how dapper he looked for their elopement. Blue suits are my favorite - hands down. Look at that color!
See this cutie right here? That is Owen! Noelle & Kevin got him only a few weeks before their big day and we HAD to have him there! Billy calls him baby Yoda still to this day. I think for the next time around we have to have Owen hang with the girls so that we can get shots like this with Noelle & her little guy too! I mean seriously - it does not get any cuter.
When I was writing this blog post - I thought… oh thats right - we arent sharing any dress photos (since they are having another wedding next year and want to keep the dress a surprise!) so how in the world will I make this without sharing the ceremony? But - I talked to Noelle and she said I could share and I can bring myself to sharing only these. I really want her to have that special moment of the guests seeing her dress for the first time in person so I blurred these images out and will replace them after their next event in Sept. All you need to know is that yes - Kevin cried when his stunning bride walked down the aisle and their vows were so perfectly “them.” It was such a sweet moment to capture.
You are unable to see but these two are grinning from ear to ear! Their happiness radiated.
We snapped some family + wedding party photos and then hopped in the truck to chase the sun for these portraits on Bald Knob. A hidden gem at Mountain Lake Lodge. After some photos in her wedding gown - Noelle did a quick dress change so we could have some photos to share and oh man I sure am glad she did because LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS that I can share with you guys! The blue ridge + the sunset really showed off for these two for their portraits. It was windy and it was cold but it was SO dang WORTH IT.
When I say the sunset got better + better I mean it… I could hardly believe it. We were so worried we had missed it when we were on the way up! Turns out the timing was perfect!
Kevin & Noelle have SUCH a sweet love story and I want to leave that for their official wedding day blog when I am able to share all of the photos! I truly mean it when I say that we have THE BEST couples. I am honestly amazed at the love that they share and honored that Whole Heart Studios gets to capture their love story and turn those into memories.
Mountain Lake Lodge, Bald Knob, and most importantly… Noelle & Kevin - we will see you in September and we seriously cannot wait. Congrats on your marriage + we’re looking forward to doing the whole thing again soon with your family, friends, and more. XOXO
