Finding the right fit... picking your wedding vendors.

So you and your fiancé are newly engaged and you are beyond excited at what is ahead for the both of you. Calling family and friends to tell them the great news keeps the butterflies flowing and the smiles on a infinite supply, but as those fun events end and the creeping feeling of being overwhelmed starts to sink in wedding planning starts to consume your thoughts.

But have no fear there is HOPE! Picking wedding vendors can feel like a daunting task, but here are three things you need to think about when you pick any wedding vendor. Use them and be confident that you have found one that fits into your plans for your big day.

1. Have a meeting face to face (or Facetime/Skype)

Personalities need to match. This is the most important part to picking a person to work with. You want someone that is personable, professional and organized. Ask good questions or for some stories about past clients. If you can meet face to face. Grab a coffee, a quick bit to eat or a beer.

2. First impressions tell you a lot

Look at their work, their website and any reviews that have been left by past clients. Building a portfolio is hard work and takes some time, vendors should be putting a lot of time into showing new clients their creative eye and how they can adapt to your style as a couple.

3. Follow up

Organization is KEY! Keep track how they follow up with you two. I have been in the business world long enough to know that a great way to show clients you really care is great follow up. Pick a vendor that keeps in touch, offers advice and helps with anything around your wedding.

If you follow these three things you should have no problem finding wedding vendors that will make you day amazing!
